The Fantastic Umbrella Factory is on a small farm in Charlestown, RI. It's a small colony of "hippy" shops which sell very affordable clothing and jewelery as well as many novelty items. The property is very woody and has beautiful gardens, as well as farm animals and some more exotic breeds as well. It's a very beautiful place which is a fun time for people of all ages.

the umbrella factory has gone downhill in the past few years now that the old gay guys dont own it anymore, but it is still phenominal.

lots of cool things to see and for sale, good food at the little restaurant, and a generally happy vibe at this place. plus there's an emu.

I used to travel here a lot when I was a young ruffian adolescent. The first and only time I ever shoplifted was here, when I stole a 99 cent ring. My friends at the time were much more involved in this dark art; stealing items as large as congos. It was just what you were supposed to do at the Umbrella Factory, I'm not sure why. But the selection of goods is really cool; lots of crazy things you've never even heard of.
