Logan Airport was built on a large chunk of land that had previously been part of Boston Harbor. Constitution Beach is in a natural cove that now looks out on one of the runways, a few hundred yards offshore. Depending on wind conditions, you can sit on a park bench and watch the planes take off and land almost directly over your head. You can get there by taking the Blue Line to Orient Heights, and then doubling back down Bennington Street until you come to the footbridge that takes you over the tracks and into the park.
